Former WWE Superstar and known Chicago Blackhawks fan CM Punk made good on his Twitter bet with Bailey, the Los Angeles Kings mascot, after L.A. knocked off the Chicago Blackhawks in overtime of Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals to stamp its ticket to its second Stanley Cup Final in three years.

Punk bet Bailey on Twitter that he would don a Kings jersey outside of the Blackhawk's home of the United Center in Chicago if the Kings won the best-of-seven series for the right to play for the Cup, and Punk made good on that promise Monday afternoon -- just a day after his beloved Blackhawks fell to the Kings at that very same venue.

Punk tweeted the following photo and message to Bailey and the Kings following their 5-4 overtime victory:

Punk then asked New York Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon -- who had made a bet with the Montreal Canadiens before they lost the Eastern Conference Finals to the Rangers in six games -- if he was going to bet the Kings mascot as well.

Defenseman Alec Martinez's shot was re-directed by Tyler Toffoli 5:47 into overtime to eliminate the defending Stanley Cup Champions, and now the Kings open up their Stanley Cup Final series with the New York Rangers at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Wednesday. The Kings will look to win the Cup for the second time in three years after they lifted the best trophy in sports in 2012.
Punk walked out on the WWE in January likely due to his frustration with his role in the company as well as being burned out from the rigorous travel and performing schedules. There were rumors that Punk would appear at WWE Payback Sunday night in Rosemont, but Punk was attending Game 7 in nearby Chicago instead with his fiancée A.J. Lee.
Punk has shown no signs of wanting to return and he recently said in an interview how happy he is to have all the free time to do things that he wanted to do. The article also mentioned that Punk is a retired wrestler at 35.
The WWE worked to get Punk to come back initially after he walked out in January despite his contract not expiring until July, however after he missed the Chicago RAW on March 3 and WrestleMania XXX on April 6, the company began to see it as though he wasn't returning.
The "Best in the World" may never return, but one thing is certain, his Blackhawks won't be competing for their third Stanley Cup in five seasons this spring.
