The UFC welterweight division is in flux, with champion Johny "Bigg Rigg" Hendricks on the mend with a torn bicep, and the man many feel he defeated on a hiatus while healing from his second torn ACL. That man is MMA legend Georges St Pierre, and according to Hendricks, he doesn't care if he ever gets another crack at him.

I'd love to have a rematch, don't get me wrong, but if he never came back it wouldn't bother me none. I'm trying to make my own legacy and if he's part of it that'd be great. If not, I don't care," Hendricks said.
They fought at UFC 165, and while it appeared Hendricks got the better of GSP the judges saw otherwise and ruled St Pierre retained his belt. Even GSP couldn't say for sure whether he won though, and decided to step away from fighting indefinitely. He even sacrificed his title. Now, Hendricks is the champ and has no clue who he will defend it against when he's able to resume competition.

There are several competitors vying for the No. 1 contender spot, including the man he just beat at UFC 171 Robbie Lawler. Lawler will face Matt Brown on July 26, while Rory MacDonald and Tyron Woodley will go toe-to-toe at UFC 174.
"They're both great fights," said Hendricks. "Brown-Lawler. I fought Lawler, never fought Brown. It just depends how [Brown] goes into that fight," Hendricks said.
"I don't like to really pick on my weight class. Sort of just like a guessing game so that one's a close one. Tyron Woodely can easily wrestle [MacDonald], could out-strike him or Rory MacDonald could keep him at bay with that jab like he did a couple of other guys. It just depends."
No matter what Hendricks says about those contenders though, it's hard to believe bitterness doesn't remain from his questionable defeat at the hands of GSP.
I re-watch it and I re-watch it and I re-watch it and the best I can do is three [rounds] to two," Bigg Rigg said of the controversial fight.
"Everybody's human. Everybody makes mistakes. It was sort of on my side because I got the fight in Dallas and actually fought a very tough fight again and ended up winning."
