WWE Rumors: Randy Orton Injured? 'Viper' Misses RAW Due To Collarbone Injury [VIDEO]

Randy Orton missed this week's episode of Monday Night RAW due to a collarbone injury, but "The Viper" isn't expected to miss too much time and the injury isn't considered severe.

WWE Angry At Sting Casting Call Leaking

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, Orton was held off of RAW because he injured his collarbone in a match against Big Show at the June 3 SmackDown tapings for the episode that aired on June 5. It's unclear what caused the ailment, but Orton was hurting after the match.

The WWE doesn't believe that the injury will have any lingering or long-term effects, and Orton is expected to be back at RAW this Monday night in Cleveland. Orton worked the WWE untelevised live events over the weekend, but then the company decided it was best to have him skip RAW.

Brock Lesnar vs Daniel Bryan Slated For SummerSlam

While he wasn't actually on the show, Triple H awarded him a spot in the upcoming Money in the Bank Ladder Match at the pay-per-view on June 29 at the TD Garden in Boston. Orton took to Twitter and joked that he wished he could be at RAW while he was lounging in his bathing suit "on vacation:"

The Ladder Match will now be for the vacant WWE World Heavyweight Championship due to the fact that Daniel Bryan's surgically-repaired neck is healing slower than originally thought so the WWE had to strip him of the title and cancel the slated Stretcher Match between Bryan and Kane.

Orton joins Alberto Del Rio, Cesaro, Sheamus and Bray Wyatt in the match while John Cena is also expected to be added to continue his feud with Wyatt within the match rather than having the two battle one-on-one for the fourth consecutive pay-per-view.

While Orton is banged up, he should be good to go and he'll be a big part of next week's RAW and the Money in the Bank pay-per-view.
