Ultimate Warrior Death: WWE Network Planning More Themes Like 'Warrior Week,' Jim Hellwig's Friend Trying Out For WWE [VIDEO]

After WWE Hall of Famer The Ultimate Warrior a.k.a. Jim Hellwig passed away, the WWE paid homage to his career with "Warrior Week" on the WWE Network and the company is planning on more themed weeks, while Warrior's friend also has a scheduled tryout with the organization.

More Releases May Come After WWE Parts Ways With 11 Superstars

The Warrior passed away due to a cardiac episode stemming from heart disease on April 8 and the WWE honored him on the following episode of Monday Night RAW by tolling the bell 10 times with the talent roster on the ramp and they followed it up with "Warrior Week" on the WWE Network.

"Warrior Week" was a series of specials focused on the Warrior's life and career, culminating in a documentary that had cameras following him around on WrestleMania weekend when he was with his family for his Hall of Fame induction on April 5 and then appeared at WrestleMania and on RAW for the first time in 18 years the following two nights.

Will The Shield Get A New Member?

The WWE is now planning on doing some more themed weeks and the WWE Network sent out a survey asking fans what theme weeks they'd like to see on the network in the future. The choices on the survey included CM Punk, Steve Austin, The Rock, Randy Savage, The Hardys, The Authority, The Kliq, Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, Sting, Lex Luger, Christian and Alberto Del Rio.

Warrior's friend and University of Tennessee at Chattanooga linebacker Gunner Miller is looking to get into the WWE and he has a tryout this week at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. Miller told WCRB-TV that his friendship with The Ultimate Warrior is what got him interested in joining the company.

"He's (Ultimate Warrior) telling me you should get a shot and do this," he told the affiliate about what motivated him. "It seems like you have a look and the right physical style for it. I'm thinking it might be cool and realistic."

The Warrior, who had a tumultuous history with WWE -- including Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon and Superstars such as Hulk Hogan -- was able to make amends with the company and some former Superstars he had a rocky relationship with on what proved to be the last weekend of his life. The WWE honored him with the Hall of Fame before he appeared at WrestleMania XXX and on RAW as his career came full circle from April 5-7.

Less than 24 hours after his first RAW appearance since 1996, The Warrior collapsed while walking to his car with his family at an Arizona hotel. He was later pronounced dead at a local hospital just a day after making those great appearances and being welcomed back to the WWE.

The Warrior has left a lasting legacy, and the success of "Warrior Week" will now lead to the WWE Network exploring more themes and spotlights on the WWE's Superstars.
