LeBron James Leaving Heat? Chandler Parsons: James Nothing Left To Prove in Miami [VIDEO]

LeBron James had done all he can in Miami and will take his talents away from South Beach after the end of the season.

Carmelo Anthony not the answer for the Miami Heat

So says Houston Rockets free agent Chandler Parsons. Parsons appeared on ESPN's "SportsNation" and said the Miami Heat's 3-1 deficit to the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals is the underlying factor in James' decision to leave.

"I think if they would have won the championship it would have been a different story and they would have come back to do it again," Parsons said on "SportsNation," as transcribed by probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com but he's got so much responsibility, he's obviously one of the best players if not the best player, I think them losing will make him make a move and opt out and you'll see him in a different jersey next year."

James himself sounded a bit tired of being the focal point of the Miami superteam he helped form in 2011 when he joined Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh with the Heat. The team has been to the finals four consecutive seasons but is on the verge of losing for the second time in those four appearances.

LeBron James chokes in Game 5 vs. the Pacers?

"It's not all on my shoulders," ESPN.com reported James as saying after the Heat's Game 4 loss to the Spurs in Miami. "It's not. I understand I get a lot of the limelight in the press and all that, but it's not all on my shoulders. I take a lot of it, but I do it for my teammates, and I want them to put a lot of pressure on me in that sense.

"Soul searching, there won't be much of that. We're a veteran ballclub that's won a championship, that's won a couple of championships, that's been to four straight Finals. We know what it takes to win. We've just got to go out and do it."

It is interesting to note that Parsons is speaking as if the Finals already are over, even though Game 5 in San Antonio is scheduled for Father's Day.

Parsons said he envisioned a scenario where James could return to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
