The red-clad Belgians staged a comeback against a scrappy Algerian side in World Cup 2014 with goals at 70' by Marouane Fellaini and 80' by Dries Mertens to win their opening match. Algeria led for much of the match, but were outshot by a wide margin and blown out in terms of possession time. Both goals netted for the Belgians were scored by reserves.
