France and Ecuador played in a heart-stopping thriller that involved no goals. Tension ran high as both sides were playing for the chance to advance to the Round of 16, and the star of the scoreless match was clearly Ecuadorian goalkeeper Alexander Dominguez.
He was akin to a magician in this match, saving seven shots against the hyper-aggressive French offensive. Dominguez's side faced 18 shots in total, while Ecuador fired off just 10, including two on goal.
