Brooklyn Nets Rumors: Bucks, Larry Drew to Have Falling Out if Kidd Deal Fails? Lionel Hollins the Nets First Choice Post-Kidd? [VIDEO]

In a bizarre turn of events, Brooklyn Nets coach Jason Kidd wants out of town after attempts to gain more power in the organization went sour. If a deal involving Kidd does not end up occurring, both the Bucks and Nets are left in quite the awkward situation considering Kidd would return to Brooklyn while Larry Drew remains Milwaukee’s coach.

ESPN reports that a deal with the Bucks is in place and if it occurs it will be within the next 24 hours. The Bucks have offered their 2015 second round pick, but the Nets have asked for a first round pick in exchange for their head coach.

It is believed that the Nets won’t budge from their asking price of a first round pick and they could create an awkward situation for both sides if the deal doesn’t work out. The same source at ESPN believes that the Bucks will have a big problem with Larry Drew if the deal falls apart seeing how Milwaukee was so quick to move on.

"If Jason accepts then they will work it out [with Drew]," said the source. "If the deal doesn't happen, then there will be an issue with Larry.”

It is unknown how the Nets will handle Kidd in the event the trade falls apart, but it is believed that Lionel Hollins would be the Nets' first phone call if they have to search for a new head coach. The Nets are expected to have an answer for the Bucks’ trade proposal in the next 24 hours as Bucks co-owners Marc Lasry and Wes Edens met with Kidd in New York City already.

Kidd went 44-38 with a trip to the playoffs in his first season as a head coach and is said to be interested in the challenge of rebuilding a team led by Jabari Parker.
