Lucas Matthysse Next Fight: John Molina Wants Rematch, Guarantees It Would Be 'A Classic' [VIDEO]

Lucas Matthysse is rumored to be returning to the ring on September 6 after a Fight of the Year candidate vs. John Molina on April 26 that saw him taste the canvas twice before winning by TKO in Round 11. Matthysse's next opponent has yet to be determined, but Molina's pining for a second fight.

"I'm willing to fight anybody. I want to give the fans what we gave them on the 26th [of April]. I'd love to give it to them again. If we do have a Lucas Matthysse rematch, it's going to be a hell of a fight. I guarantee you that. It's going to be one of those classics," Molina told Fighthype.com.

Molina had moved up in weight to face Matthysse, but was able to hurt "The Machine" just as badly as he hurt fighters in the lower classes.

Molina says Broner is dodging power punchers

"I believe it [punching power] was actually enhanced at 140, to be honest with you. Any fighter that's worth their salt knows that those five pounds are all the difference in the world. I believe I am the biggest puncher at 140. If not the biggest, I think me and Matthysse are really right there. You gotta remember, I took Lucas Matthysse's best punch," Molina told Ben Thompson.

Fans would likely be overjoyed to see a rematch, but Molina's also made it clear he's willing to face Adrien Broner as well, who has been linked to the same date and card as Matthysse. When commenting on Broner in a separate interview, Molina seemed to have a little less respect for "The Problem."

Broner, Matthysse set to return on September 6 in separate fights

"I believe the fight can happen in due time. The 'Can Man' set himself up because he calls himself the 'Can Man.' He's not the 'Can Man' he's more the 'Tin Man.' You build yourself up to be a certain person that you're not and you shouldn't do that," Molina said.
