With LeBron James back in uniform, the Cavaliers have quickly addressed one of their glaring offensive weaknesses -- perimeter shooting. Cleveland signed sharpshooting small forward James Jones to a one-year, veteran's minimum of $1.4 million Wednesday.
Jones' signing comes one day after the club reached an agreement with Mike Miller, another long-range marksman.
The Akron Beacon Journal was first to report Jones signing with Cleveland.
Jones and Miller, also a small forward, are close friends with James and his former teammates in Miami.
A 33-year-old, 11-year NBA veteran, Jones received limited playing time with the Heat last season. He appeared in only 20 regular-season games, averaging 4.9 points.
However, Jones connected on nearly 52 percent of his 3-point attempts during the 2013-2014 campaign. He is a career 40-percent shooter from 3-point range.

Miller signed a two-year, $5.5 million contract with the Cavaliers on Tuesday. His relationship with James factored into the decision -- Miller turned down a three-year, $12 million offer from the Denver Nuggets in favor of Cleveland's package.
After spending three years in Miami with James, Miller, 34, played with the Memphis Grizzlies last season. He averaged 7.1 points on 45-percent shooting from the 3-point line.
The Cavaliers are reportedly also in the hunt for 3-point shooting specialist Ray Allen, who also played alongside James, MIller and Jones in Miami.
