The heat is getting turned up on Shayanna Jenkins, the fiancée of accused murderer and former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez. Jenkins is being accused of lying about disposing of the murder weapon prosecutors say was used to kill Odin Lloyd execution style.
Jenkins is currently facing perjury charges in the Lloyd case, with prosecutors saying this last month at her arraignment:
"She was asked what she did to the item that Mr. Hernandez instructed her to get rid of; she repeatedly told the grand jury that she couldn't remember, she didn't know, she'd thrown it in a dumpster, and she couldn't tell anybody where it was."

According to footage taken from Hernandez's home surveillance system Jenkins can be seen carrying a trash bag containing a "rigid object" that could have been a lock box or safe to a red Nissan Sentra and placing it in the trunk. She returned about 35 minutes later and when the trunk was opened the bag was no longer there.
Now the prosecutors claim they have direct evidence proving "how, why and the manner in which she removed the items from the home."

Another suspect in the murder, Carlos Ortiz, an associate of Hernandez's, told police that Hernandez stashed two weapons in a box in his basement. Footage also captured Hernandez returning home after Lloyd's murder holding a handgun that is believed to be the weapon used to kill Lloyd.
Hernandez is involved in two murder trials currently-there is the murder of Odin Lloyd, and a double-murder in Boston following an altercation in a night club that is pending. Hernandez's Lloyd trial is expected to begin on January 5, 2015.
