SummerSlam 2014 Rumors: Hulk Hogan Hosting Final RAW Before Biggest PPV Of Summer

WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan will be on hand in Oregon to host the final episode of WWE Monday Night RAW before next month's SummerSlam.

Vince McMahon Expected To Make More Budget Cuts

Hogan took to his official Twitter account to share the news that he will host the Aug. 11 episode of RAW from Portland, Ore. at The Monda Center which will be six days before the huge SummerSlam event on Aug. 17 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Hogan was a huge part of the WWE's recent Japanese tour, and he'll take part in the final RAW before the biggest show of the summer.

Sting Has Yet To Sign A WWE Deal Despite WWE 2K15 Inclusion

"Watcha gonna do when the hulkamania runs wild on you?' #wwe #wweraw #hulkamania Hulk Hogan to host WWE presents Monday Night RAW August 11!," Hogan wrote on Twitter in a tweet that has since been removed likely since the WWE hasn't officially announced it yet.

It is unknown at this time if the six-time WWE Champion will appear at the SummerSlam event itself, but given that it's the second biggest show of the year, there's a good chance Hogan will make an appearance similar to the opening segment of WrestleMania XXX in April.

Hogan has been a huge part of SummerSlam over the years, appearing at the inaugural event in 1988 when he teamed up with the late "Macho Man" Randy Savage to take on "The Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase and the late Andre The Giant.

Early speculation involving the SummerSlam card has been that four big matches are being planned for the event including a main event WWE World Heavyweight Championship bout between John Cena and Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton vs. Roman Reigns, Chris Jericho vs. Bray Wyatt and Stephanie McMahon vs. Brie Bella.

Lesnar is expected to come back fresh off of ending The Streak of The Undertaker at WrestleMania to contest with Cena for the gold, and Paul Heyman planted the seeds on Monday's RAW by hyping a "Plan C" to Triple H.

Reigns was rumored to take on Triple H, but it is likely he'll battle Orton at the August event while a bout with Triple H will be pushed back to September's Night of Champions as the WWE wants a big match on that card in order for its fans to want to renew early network subscriptions that will be up in September.

Jericho and Wyatt was originally supposed to be saved for SummerSlam, but the two are wrestling at Sunday's Battleground event at the Tampa Bay Times Forum in Florida. It is likely that Sunday's contest will lead into another clash at the August pay-per-view.

McMahon and Bella have been feuding over the treatment of Bella's husband Daniel Bryan, who was stripped of the WWE Championship and is out for an unknown amount of time with a neck injury. McMahon fired Bella in storyline, but she'll likely return for a match with the stipulation being if Bella wins she gets her full-time job back.

SummerSlam will be the biggest event put on by the WWE this summer, and it appears that Hogan will be there six night before to usher the company into the biggest party of the summer on RAW.
