Manchester United's pursuit of one of football's premier attacking threats has been finalized, with La Stampa (via Goal Transfer Talk) reporting that Juventus' Arturo Vidal has agreed on a five-year deal with the club. The transfer for the Chilean would cost United a whopping £47 million.

Vidal's salary would demand a staggering £182,000 weekly.
Jorge Sampaoli, head coach of the Chilean national team, voiced his concerns for the transfer, claiming United were wary of of spending heavily on a player who underwent knee cartilage surgery in May. "I know that the main problem in Vidal's £47m transfer from Juventus to Manchester United is Louis van Gaal's doubt over the improvement of Arturo's knee," Sampaoli told El Mercurio (via ESPN UK). He would go on to add that Vidal was performing at a mere 40 percent during the 2014 World Cup, pushing himself too hard to participate in the tournament.

Those concerns from van Gaal, however, have apparently dissipated.
Last season with Juventus, Vidal created 47 chances for the club and finished the 2013-14 campaign with double-digit goals (11). Only Fernando Llorente (16) and Carlos Tevez (19) contributed more to the three-time Serie A champions.
A club desperate for elite reinforcements have acquired just that in the form of Arturo Vidal, but Juventus must now find a reinforcement of their own to replace him.
