Joakim Noah Injury: Bulls Center Likely To Miss Remainder Of Regular Season

Injured Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah will not play in the team's matchup against the Toronto Raptors Tuesday and could miss the rest of the regular season, according to ESPNChicago.com. Noah suffered a plantar fascilitis in his right foot and looks to be increasingly doubtful to return, while potentially jeopardizing his playing time in the playoffs.

Noah told ESPN Tuesday that he received a cortisone shot in the injured foot, and said he was taking things "day by day" in regards to playing the Bulls' final six regular-season games. Coach Tom Thibodeau confirmed at shootaround that Noah will not be available to play in Tuesday night's game.

When asked if Noah would miss the remainder of the regular season, Thibodeau said he didn't "want to go there." Noah returned to the lineup Sunday at Detroit after an eight-game absence. He played 21 minutes and reported to have no issues."He said he felt good during the game and then after he felt it stiffen up a little bit and the next day was the problem," Thibodeau said. "Hopefully he will respond to the latest treatment and we'll go from there."

The game Bulls vs Raptors kicks off at 8 p.m. EST at Chicago's United Center.
