There is a positive update on WWE Hall of Famer Jake "The Snake" Roberts as he is now able to speak for the first time since being hospitalized in Las Vegas last weekend and was taken off of ventilators quicker than originally thought.

Roberts received medical attention in Las Vegas after he experienced chest tightening and shortness of breath on his flight over there for an appearance that was promoted by Sinn Bodhi. Bodhi has been updating Roberts' condition on his official Facebook page, and he offered a positive update Tuesday night.
"UPDATE on Jake The Snake Roberts: Great news!... Docs took Jake off ventilator way earlier [than] expected! He is kicking ass on his spirometer breathing tests...If he keeps up this pace he will not need to go back on Ventilator so everyone please cross your fingers!" he wrote. "Jake finally can speak for the first time since last Wed... Late last night (while still ventilated & unable to speak) one of the male nurses took a bandage off of Jake's neck where they have tubes for his meds... It was so unpleasant to Jake he wrote on the pad they gave him three letters... DDT"

He added: "Even though Jake is off of the ventilator for the time being he will be monitored for 24-48 hours before docs decide if it is safe to keep him off. Once Jake could speak he wanted steak, milkshakes, eggs & donuts... He is only allowed to get his nutrients [intravenously] for the time being... Jake even joked that he would do anything for a donut if he had to... The nurses still said no donuts to which Jake replied with his favorite gesture I think he was trying to say 'you're #1' but I could be wrong?!... One of Jake's sons flew in to help out but Jake insisted I show him a good time while he rests tonight... Soooo. Zombie Burlesque, here we come! #GetBetterJake"
After the flight crew was alerted about Roberts' issues on the plane, he was rushed to the hospital where it was revealed he had pneumonia in both of his lungs and his lungs had very little function, which he's still being treated for.
Roberts also has a neurologist looking into a mass that was found on his brain which could stem from years of impact he experienced while wrestling in the WWE.
Jake, who had surgery to treat cancer in his leg back in May, received a clean bill of health in a PET scan after the procedure, so his past struggles with drugs and alcohol reportedly have nothing to do with his most recent health scare. Roberts' immune system is said to also be in bad shape.
Roberts has had personal demons throughout his life, but he was able to clean up through the use of DDP Yoga and he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on April 6 in New Orleans.
Roberts is showing signs of improvement as the days go by and Bodhi has continued to offer daily updates on the WWE Hall of Famer.
