Today at 4:05 p.m. ET, the St. Louis Rams (0-1) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-1) take the field at Raymond James Stadium for Week 2 NFL action live from Tampa Bay. The game can be live streamed here. St. Louis fans can hear all of the action on 101.1 ESPN while Tampa Bay fans can do the same on 620 WDAE.
St. Louis is coming off of a 34-6 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1 while Tampa Bay didn't fare much better in opening up its schedule as it fell to the Carolina Panthers by a 20-14 margin.
With Sam Bradford out for the season, the Rams turned to Shaun Hill under center in Week 1, but they were then forced to go to the undrafted Austin Davis when Hill suffered a left quadriceps injury. Head coach Jeff Fisher said that if Hill is healthy, he'll be their go-to guy for the rest of the season.
"Shaun's our quarterback, so if he's healthy he starts," Fisher said via ESPN. "And that will be the case throughout the season."
Davis went 16-for-23 (69.6%) for 192 yards in Hill's absence without a touchdown and one interception. Hill had gone 8-for-13 (61.5%) for 81 yards with no scores and a pick prior to his injury.
St. Louis will desperately look to increase its offense in Week 2, especially on the ground as running back Zac Stacy had just 11 carries for 43 yards last week without reaching the end zone. On defense, the Rams will be without defensive end Chris Long, who left in the third quarter with an ankle injury in Week 1.
The Buccaneers are dealing with injuries of their own as guard Logan Mankins, recently acquired from the New England Patriots, left Sunday's game in the second quarter with a knee injury and didn't return.
"We have 10 guys on our 53-man roster on our offensive line. ... We'll probably choose from that group if Logan can't [go]," Tampa Bay coach Lovie Smith told ESPN. "But Logan has been injured before. He feels like he'll be able to go."
The Bucs' offense was shut down for the first three quarters before showing some life in the fourth frame, but Josh McCown -- the former Chicago Bear's backup -- had a bit of a rough outing. McCown went 22-for-35 for 183 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions.
Tampa Bay's big offensive weapons will have to get going after wide receiver Vincent Jackson caught just four passes for 36 yards and running back Doug Martin carried the ball nine times, but failed to gain a yard.
