Philadelphia Eagles Rumors: Darren Sproles Feels Saints 'Did Me Wrong' By RB Finding Out About Trade On Twitter [VIDEO]

Philadelphia Eagles running back Darren Sproles is thriving in the City of Brotherly Love, but he can't help but still feel disrespected by the New Orleans Saints inability to make up their mind on whether to trade him or release him last March.

Sproles, whose wife blasted the organization when the uncertainty was going on this past offseason, said he felt "disrespected" by the Saints organization when it opted to trade him to Philadelphia, news which he discovered on social media.

"Listen, I understand this is business and all of that, but [when they pulled off the trade] they put it up on Twitter," Sproles told NJ.com. "That's how I found out. There was a screen shot and a friend of mine texted it to me. I felt they did me wrong."

Sproles was especially irked over the fact that he was told the team was going to release him and he then had to find out on Twitter that he was being traded.

"First Sean [Payton] told me they were going to cut me. Then I find out on Twitter they're trading me. That's just not right," he said.

After finding out about the trade on March 11 via social media, Sproles tweeted, "The stuff u find out on twitter."

Sproles, 31, spent three seasons with New Orleans and amassed 1,067 rushing yards on 188 carries and reached the end zone five times while adding 232 receptions for 1,981 yards with 16 scores. Sproles also had 81 punt returns for 671 yards and a touchdown with the Saints.

The Eagles are off to a 3-1 start and sit atop the NFC East entering their Week 5 home game against the St. Louis Rams (1-2) while the Saints are off to a sluggish 1-3 start and will look to get back on track Sunday when they host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-3).

Sproles has 121 rushing yards on 18 carries with two touchdowns through his first four games with Philadelphia and 16 receptions for 198 yards.
