Stone Cold Steve Austin Podcast: WWE HOFer Confirms He Is Training For A Comeback [VIDEO]

Amid a lot of rumors and speculation, WWE Hall of Famer "Stone Cold" Steve Austin confirmed on a recent podcast that he is in fact training for a return to the squared circle.

Austin confirmed on a recent episode of his The Steve Austin Show podcast with former wrestler and bodybuilder Ric Drason as his guest that he was training hard to return.

"I'm trying to get back into shape for a comeback," Austin casually said on the show without going into further detail, according to Wrestlingheadlines.com.

Austin has been retired from active competition since 2003 when he wrestled Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson in the final match of their trilogy at WrestleMania XIX. "The Texas Rattlesnake" has made various appearances for the WWE throughout the last 11 years, but he hasn't wrestled another match.

Austin has sent mixed signals about wanting to return to the ring as he said in the past he didn't want to put in all the work he would need to just for a one-match payoff and he recently told radio host Sam Roberts during SummerSlam weekend in mid-August that he had no hunger to return to the ring.

"No, I had a great breakfast this morning, no hunger at all," Austin told Roberts while making an appearance on the WWE 2K15 roster panel. "Especially as it pertains to the squared circle."

Despite these comments, there were rumors that Austin has been training hard for a return -- which he confirmed on his podcast -- and the Hall of Famer even teased a possible return recently.

"I'll reserve my right to if I want to have another match down the road - say, like, Dallas, Texas is going to be [WrestleMania 32]," he told PWTorch  "Now, 31 is right down the road from me. That could be doable, but I don't see it happening. Now, Dallas, that could be very special going back to Texas for 32. They're going to need a loaded card to fill that house. So, I'll reserve my right. But, am I pushing, pandering, selling, promoting? Nothing."

It remains to be seen if it'll come to fruition, but it appears as though Austin could be gearing up to stomp another mud hole in the WWE and walk it dry.
