Count Kane as the latest WWE Superstar that would like to face Steve "Sting" Borden in a potential match down the line.

Kane spoke with AlternativeNation.net and said that he would love to face Sting if he decides to have a match in the WWE in the future. Sting has said he wants to face Triple H or The Undertaker at WrestleMania 31, but Kane was asked how he'd feel about a potential match with the former WCW and TNA icon.

"That would be a dream come true [to wrestle Sting], because Sting is one of the guy who I looked up to when I was a youngster," Kane told the site. "The dude was the face of WCW, and before that the NWA, one of the most popular wrestlers in history. That would be pretty awesome, and I think that a Sting vs. Undertaker story would be awesome as well, because you would see the faces of two different companies from the same generation collide."

Since joining the WWE on a merchandise pact and being a part of the WWE 2K15 video game, Sting has been vocally open to a match in the WWE in what would mark the first time the legend would appear in a WWE ring and he may only have one last match left in him.

Sting, who will be 56 by the time the show comes around, has said he wants to work with The Undertaker and that he hopes that the two could clash at WrestleMania 31 on March 29, 2015.

The Sting vs. Undertaker match has been rumored and talked about for years, and it was believed to be a possibility for WrestleMania XXX this past April 6 in New Orleans, but the WWE opted to go with a Brock Lesnar vs. Undertaker clash instead.

'Taker ended up getting injured during the match and the WWE opted to end The Streak by having him pinned to the mat at WrestleMania for the first time in his career.

With 'Taker having lost The Streak and getting injured, his future with the WWE is up in the air and he may not return to the company, though it's worth noting a fan said that at a recent charity run The Undertaker told people he was leaning toward a comeback in the spring.

Sting has referenced Triple H as another person he'd like to work with if 'Taker can't wrestle, however there are rumors that Triple H will take on Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Johnson denied these reports to TMZ, which may just be a way to keep the company's plans under wraps.

Kane also spoke to the website about how Triple H is as a leader.

"He's done a tremendous job with the Performance Center in Orlando, and with NXT," he said. "They have a great product, the guys that are coming out of there are really great. I was just thinking about that the other day, you could always tell there was something special about him. Certainly he knows the wrestling business like no one else, he's got a fabulous mind. When you're talking about people I've worked with who have influenced me as far as character development, he's one of them. I don't know which is more surprising, the fact that he's in the role that he's in, or that I'm still here in WWE 20 years later."

While a Kane vs. Sting match in the WWE is a long shot, WWE Superstars have been lining up to face Sting in hopes the wrestling legend will wrestle a match in the WWE.
