Hull City Promoted to Premier League: Steve Bruce's Team Returns After Dramatic Game against Cardiff

Hull City has been promoted to the Premier League for second time in their 109-year history.

After a dramatic afternoon at the KC stadium, Hull was forced to wait 20 minutes before confirming their promotion into the most competitive league in the world.

Steve Bruce's men were unable to find the three points that would have locked them in second place, and instead had to wait 20 minutes for the final score of Leeds who beat third place Watford 2-1.

Fraizer Campbell had put the tiger's hopes into the ground after breaking the deadlock just after half time after putting away a perfect pass from Nick Maynard, but two goals in five minutes through Nick Proschwitz and Paul McShane put Hull in the driving seat and sent Hull fans into euphoria.

Andrew Taylor was sent off for Cardiff before Proschwitz had a penalty, and the chance to send Hull into the EPL right then and there, but Cardiff keeper saved his efforts. Things turned ugly quickly for the Hull supporters as Cardiff were awarded a penalty and scored in the last second of the game to end the game at 2-2.

Hull were last in the top flight in 2010 after achieving promotion in 2008, and their promotion also sees Steve Bruce return to the Premier League for the first time since leaving Sunderland.
