Reports indicate that the following was taped Tuesday night for the episode of SmackDown that is set to air this Friday, Oct. 31 from Houston as the WWE hashes through the fallout of Hell in a Cell and builds toward the Survivor Series on Nov. 23 with this special Halloween edition.
The WWE had many Halloween themes sprinkled throughout the show and the main event was a Trick or Treat Street Fight between Dean Ambrose and Cesaro. Pumpkins and other decorations surrounded the ring and Ambrose eventually got the victory.
The show kicked off with huge breaking news as The Big Show informed the crowd that Daniel Bryan needs a second surgery, this time on his elbow, and had the crowd start a "YES" chant to show its support of him.
Big Show's opponent from Hell in a Cell, Rusev, was involved in a segment later on the show where he defeated The Great Khali and then cut a promo along with Lana saying they were going after Sheamus' United States Championship.
The Divas got in on the Halloween fun as Nikki Bella won a costume battle royal and taunted AJ Lee, who was on commentary, after the match. It's worth noting Brie Bella did not participate.
In other action, Kane defeated Dolph Ziggler in a non-title match and Seth Rollins attacked Ziggler after it was over. Rollins had a promo earlier on in the night as well.
Elsewhere on the show, Ryback defeated Heath Slater, who was dressed as a scarecrow, Los Matadores defeated Goldust & Stardust in a non-title match and Bray Wyatt cut a promo from a rocking chair in the ring.
There was also a MizTV segment that saw Mark Henry as the guest. Henry ripped on Big Show, who ended up coming out and the two brawled. It all ended when Henry knocked Show through the barrier.
This Halloween edition of SmackDown continued the Hell in a Cell fallout and began to build toward Survivor Series.
