Aaron Rodgers, Olivia Munn: 'Newsroom' Actress Helping Packers MVP Candidate Play Better? [Instagram PHOTO]

The Green Bay Packers just defeated the New England Patriots in a possible Super Bowl preview, Aaron Rodgers is the favorite to win the MVP, and it all may be because of his girlfriend. Rodgers is dating Olivia Munn, a former model and star of HBO's The Newsroom.

Rodgers and Munn started dating back in the spring, and she may have something to do with his excellent season. Rodgers has thrown the fewest interceptions in the league, and he is second in the NFL in touchdown passes. He has been otherworldly at Lambeau Field all season.

According to media reports, Munn has previously dated NHLer Brad Richards, who was a member of the New York Rangers when he and Munn dated. When they got together, Richards immediately started playing great hockey, and the team went on a winning streak.

It is not hard to see similar parallels with what is happening in Green Bay, although in fairness, Richards has never been as highly regarded of a player around the NHL as Rodgers is in NFL circles.

Munn certainly seems interested in sticking around, which is good news for Packers fans and Rodgers. She knows it takes work, but she is willing to make sacrifices.

"There's a lot of traveling, a lot of driving, and then you're just really happy with the decisions that you make. And for me, it comes at a time in my life when I end up having to say no to some work because I gotta be somewhere else," said Munn. "It doesn't make me sad or anything, because I want my life to be full and have all those experiences, so you kind of figure it out as you go."

Earlier in the season, Packers head coach Mike McCarthy indicated that he had noticed the effect Munn has on Rodgers, saying, "He's very happy. This is frankly, I think, the happiest I've ever seen him."

Below are some Instagram photos that Munn recently posted of Rodgers.
