There continues to be more reaction backstage to CM Punk's recent comments on Colt Cabana's Art of Wrestling podcast while the "Best in the World" appeared on the show again for Part 2.
Punk spoke about the reaction to the first podcast and more in the second edition, which can be heard by clicking here.
Regarding backstage reaction, according to Wrestlingheadlines.com, it's said that most WWE talents loved what Punk said on the podcast. Triple H and Vince McMahon were upset and not everyone backstage was thrilled with what Punk did, but the majority of talents are reportedly on board with it.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that one anonymous wrestler said that Punk's interview came off as him having "sour grapes" while there are many talents upset about how he complained about the way that he was booked.
Punk expressed anger on the original podcast over the fact that he had to put over guys like The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. A lot of the talents felt that Punk shouldn't complain when he was put in a better position and booked better than most active Superstars on the roster.
It's said that a lot of WWE Superstars would love to be in the position Punk was in by having high-profile matches against legends, which caused them to disagree with his complains.
Punk was also sour about the original plans for him to battle Triple H at WrestleMania XXX and some people backstage believed that he shouldn't have complained since it would have been a high-profile match that would have received a lot of television air time to build.
Some people believe there are two sides to every story, but others feel that Punk's comments were exactly how a lot of Superstars experience their time with the WWE. A lot of people applauded Punk for being bold enough to come out with the comments publicly.
People will not vocally agree with Punk because with Triple H and McMahon upset, it wouldn't bode well for their careers.
Whether the Superstars agree with him or not, the bottom line is the "Best in the World" is done with wrestling and likely never returning.
