Chris Jericho Twitter Q&A: 'Y2J' Says He's Not Attending Royal Rumble Or WrestleMania, Comments On Slammy Award [VIDEO]

The WWE announced on Monday Night RAW that Chris Jericho will be the guest general manager of next week's episode of its flagship show, but "Y2J" said his fans shouldn't expect him back at the Royal Rumble or WrestleMania 31.

Jericho recently participated in a Q&A on his official Twitter account and a fan asked him if he'd be a part of WrestleMania season, which begins at the Royal Rumble.

Jericho told the fan that he wouldn't be at the Royal Rumble on Jan. 25 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia and that he also will not be a participant at WrestleMania 31 on March 29 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.

Another notable thing Jericho talked about in the Q&A was CM Punk's appearance on Colt Cabana's Art of Wrestling podcast as Jericho said he was glad that Punk got everything off of his chest.

It's worth noting that Jericho has swerved fans in the past in order to keep his returns a surprise, though he also said he wouldn't be at last April's WrestleMania XXX and he stuck to his word. There is still a possibility he enters the Rumble Match as a surprise entrant.

Jericho just wrapped up a stint with the WWE as he engaged in a summer-long feud with Bray Wyatt before shifting gears to battling Randy Orton in September. Jericho then worked the WWE's European tour last month before going back on tour with his band Fozzy.

Jericho's last appearance at WrestleMania was in 2013 at WrestleMania XXIX where he lost to Fandango.

Jericho is slated to be the guest general manager at the post-TLC RAW from Detroit next week as the company focuses on the fallout of the pay-per-view and WWE Network special.

Jericho wasn't in attendance at this week's RAW in South Carolina, but he still won a Slammy Award for Extreme Moment of the Year and commented about the win on Instagram.

"Wow exactly 6 years after I won my last #Slammy for #SuperstarOfTheYear in 2008, I picked up another one tonight for #ExtremeMomentOfTheYear for jumping off a 20 ft high #Steelcage against #BrayWyatt a few months ago!" Jericho wrote. "What a pleasant surprise and thanks to all of YOU who voted for me! And thanks to #Fandango for being nice enough go accept the award for me since I couldn't be there... @wwe #Y2Jisbackbaby"
