Back in May, he also led his squad to victory in the UEFA Champions league, which is considered the most prestigious club competition in the world.

The award comes just days after CR7 made headlines for buying watches for all of his teammates. Ronaldo bought the Bulgari watches for his teammates as a thank you to them for all of the help and hard work. The watches cost in excess of $8,000 and are engraved with "CR7" and "La Decima" to celebrate Real Madrid's 10th European championship.

Ronaldo may have another award coming his way soon, as he is one of three finalists for the Ballon d'Or trophy, which is awarded to FIFA's player of the year.
