Reports indicate that the following was taped Tuesday night for the episode of SmackDown that is set to air this Thursday from Louisiana as the company counts down to the Royal Rumble on Jan. 25 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
Predicting Four Matches That Could Be Added To Royal Rumble Card
In the main event of the evening, the returning Daniel Bryan teamed up with Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns and overcame Kane, Big Show and Seth Rollins in a six-man tag team match.
Bryan had clashed one-one-one with Kane earlier in the night after opening up the show with an interview with Byron Saxton.
Evaluating Royal Rumble Odds For Participants In 30-Man Match
Bryan won by DQ after J&J Security hit the ring. The Big Show and Rollins then came in to attack Bryan, but "The Beard" retreated and Reigns and Ambrose came out to make the save. Triple H then entered to announce the main event.
In other action, Bad News Barrett retained the Intercontinental Championship in a match with Sin Cara while Damien Sandow, The Miz and Alicia Fox defeated Naomi and The Usos in a six-person inter-gender tag team match.
Paul Heyman had a segment in which he spoke about the events on RAW and was interrupted by a heated Rollins. Rollins said he wanted to cash-in his briefcase, but Lesnar wasn't at SmackDown. The two then teased working together at the Royal Rumble.
Elsewhere the Divas mixed it up as Natalya defeated Nikki Bella in a non-title match.
This episode of SmackDown continued to build toward the Royal Rumble.
