Tonight at 10:30 p.m. ET, the Toronto Maple Leafs (22-19-3, 47 points) and San Jose Sharks (23-16-5, 51 points) face-off for the first of two meetings against each other this season live from the SAP Center in San Jose. The game can be live streamed here. Toronto fans can hear all of the action on TSN 1050 while San Jose fans can do the same on KFOX 98.5.
Toronto has dropped two straight games to open up a four-match road trip while San Jose has lost two of its last three contests, but opens up a lengthy seven-match homestand.
The Sharks own the second spot in the Pacific Division heading into tonight while the Maple Leafs are five points shy of the final wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference.
The Maple Leafs are coming off of a 4-0 loss at the hands of the Anaheim Ducks and have failed to find the back of the net as of late.
Phil Kessel has paced Toronto with 43 points off of 19 goals and 24 assists this season. James van Riemsdyk is second on the team with 40 points off of 19 tallies and 21 helpers while Tyler Bozak has found the twine 14 times and added 18 assists for 32 points.
The Sharks come into the game off of a 3-2 triumph over the Arizona Coyotes on Tuesday.
Joe Pavelski is fourth in the league with 22 goals and leads San Jose with 38 points while Logan Couture also has 38 points off of 15 markers and 23 helpers. Brent Burns is second on the Sharks with 35 points by way of lighting the lamp 11 times and adding 24 assists.
In between the pipes, San Jose is set to turn to Antti Niemi and he is 17-11-4 with a 2.59 goals-against average and a .912 save percentage.
Toronto is likely to counter with Jonathan Bernier in the crease and he is 16-12-3 with a 2.69 GAA and a .916 save percentage.
It's an inter-conference matchup when the Maple Leafs and Sharks go head-to-head at the SAP Center tonight in San Jose.
