LeBron James excelled in a loss in his first game back from a lengthy hiatus to rest his body, and got Cleveland back in the win column Thursday night vs. the Lakers. He thinks that the Cavs may be turning a corner and headed toward the sustained success many envisioned when he signed there, and joined forces with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love.

"If you take away the first half (in Tuesday's loss) in Phoenix, for six straight quarters we played some really good basketball," James said. "We want to get back to our winning ways and get back to the continuity that we had before I had the injury."

Much ado has been made about the Cavaliers' shaky locker room, player relations, and the team rebelling against new coach David Blatt. James praised Kevin Love at length last night following their win though for playing through back spasms.

"You have instances during the season where you feel you got closer and I think what Kevin did tonight, playing through injuries, he could have easily sat down for the rest of the game. He toughed it out," James said.

"I said, 'Whatever you got. Whatever you can give.' He did that. He knocked down a 3, he battled on the glass, and even with his back basically feeling like he couldn't play no more, he took a charge. Those are moments in a season where you know your team is taking a step forward. To have one of your big guys do that, that was huge."

Love finished the night with 17 points and seven rebounds.
