New England Patriots Cheating Rumors: Rob Gronkowski Spikes Critics of 'Deflategate' on Twitter [VIDEO]

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski spiked critics of his team's AFC Championship victory on Twitter Monday night, in the hilarious way only Gronk can.

The Patriots utterly dominated the visiting Indianapolis Colts on Sunday night, to the tune of a 45-7 mollywhopping. However, their win was overshadowed Monday morning by accusations that the Pats had intentionally deflated the air in game balls.

Deflated footballs are easier to catch in adverse and cold weather conditions, which are definitely descriptors that would qualify for Sunday's environment. The controversy was also amplified given that the Patriots have run afoul of the NFL rulebook before, most infamously during 2007's 'SpyGate' episode. By Monday afternoon, the Twitter hashtag "#Deflategate" was trending across NFL social media circles.

Gronkowski, however, has no time for any of it. The Pro Bowl tight end, who caught three passes (one for a touchdown) in Sunday's lopsided contest, posted a fantastic photo on Twitter -- him spiking a football in his usual animated manner, with the accompanying caption "Whoops lol." The photo's message? "WARNING: Gronking May Cause Deflation."
