There have been rumors that WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar may head back to UFC after WrestleMania 31 this March and a possible fight has been discussed for "The Beast."

Rumored WWE Returns Emerge For Royal Rumble 2015

Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that there have been talks in UFC to have Lesnar fight Frank Mir if he returns to UFC. The two fighters have split decisions in their two past fights.

Mir defeated Lesnar via submission at UFC 81 in what was "The Beast's" UFC debut. Lesnar then gained some revenge when he topped Mir by TKO at UFC 100. Mir hasn't fought since UFC 169 in February 2014 when he lost to Alistair Overeem.

Bill Goldberg 'Willing To Listen' About WWE Return

UFC president Dana White said he hasn't had any talks with Lesnar regarding a return due to "The Beast" being under contract with the WWE, but both sides remain open to a possible comeback for him.

Lesnar has been booked to look strong in his WWE return as he ended The Streak of The Undertaker last year at WrestleMania and dominated John Cena at SummerSlam in August to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Lesnar is likely to drop the gold at WrestleMania 31 on March 29 at Levi's Stadium in California and his contract expires the next day.

There have been reports that the WWE, UFC and Bellator MMA may be in a three-way bidding war over Lesnar's services once his current part-time pact with the WWE is up.

Lesnar is a former UFC Heavyweight Champion, but he had to retire from the sport in 2011 due to a bout with diverticulitis and has reportedly been training in hopes to return to the Octagon.

While his UFC future is up in the air, Lesnar will defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship in a Triple Threat Match against Seth Rollins and Cena this Sunday at the 28th annual Royal Rumble live from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
