Alex Rodriguez and the New York Yankees are expected to fight each other on several issues this season, including his role on the team, his playing time, and whether the team will have to pay him his full salary and for any of several career milestones that he may reach.

It now appears that Rodriguez also has some trouble on the personal front as well as professionally amid rumors that he has split from girlfriend Torrie Wilson. According to Yard Barker, the split may have occurred because of Rodriguez's refusal to commit to Wilson.
Wilson was also apparently upset that Rodriguez still occasionally spends time with his ex-wife, Cynthia Scurtis. Last summer, Rodriguez was spotted spending the day with Wilson, Scurtis, and his two daughters, which Wilson apparently did not appreciate.

Rodriguez and Wilson have been dating for a few years now, but they have had their share of spats over Rodriguez's behavior around other women. A-Rod has long been known as a flirt, and his infidelity was actually the reason that he and Scurtis divorced.
Wilson and Rodriguez reportedly would routinely "fight over his flirtations with other women." Wilson downplayed his behavior a few years ago when Rodriguez was busted flirting with female fans in the stands, but it clearly bothered her.
Several members of the Yankees organization apparently thought that Wilson was a good influence on A-Rod. "Torrie is a lovely girl," a Yankees source said. "The last thing Alex needs now is to be single, dating and distracted by women."
