WWE Rumors: Triple H Lying About CM Punk? Backstage Talk On 'The Game's' Interview With Steve Austin [VIDEO]

Triple H told "Stone Cold" Steve Austin on his podcast that there was "no beef" between him and CM Punk after he quit the company, but not everyone backstage believes him.

"The Game" told Austin on his special WWE Network interview this past Monday that despite Punk's comments to the contrary, there are no problems between the two of them and he would welcome Punk back to the WWE someday if both sides agreed to terms.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, most people backstage that have talked within the WWE following those comments don't believe that Triple H was telling the truth.

Punk said on Colt Cabana's Art of Wrestling podcast that he had several issues and altercations with Triple H during his time in the WWE. Triple H said that Punk was hard to communicate with because after he would hear he was upset, Punk was calm when talking to him.

Punk walked out on the WWE last January amid frustration over many different things and was rumored to face Triple H at WrestleMania XXX had he chosen to stay.

"The Best in the World" laid into Triple H, Vince McMahon and other aspects of the WWE on the podcast and swiftly joined UFC a month later.

Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and Vince McMahon were said to all be livid at Punk when he left the company and even more so when he made those comments, but "The Game" attempted to paint the picture that he had no problem with Punk in his interview with Austin.

Punk said he would not have a working relationship with the WWE ever again while Triple H said he would be open to it if it's what the fans wanted. Vince McMahon expressed the same sentiment when he appeared on Austin's show in his controversial interview on Dec. 1.

Michael Cole mentioned in his weekly sit-down interview with Triple H that his podcast appearance with Austin had 40 percent more viewers than McMahon's, but Triple H said he thought it was more than that.

Another interesting tidbit from the interview was when Triple H said that RAW should be two hours instead of three, which a lot of people agree with.

It is said that many people were surprised the "King of Kings" would say that as a higher-up, but it's an opinion that most people backstage agree with.

While Triple H may paint a rosy public picture of his thoughts on Punk, most people in and around the company didn't believe it to be true.
