Manchester United Transfer News: Marco Reus and Paul Pogba Lead Club's £120 Million Summer Assault

Manchester United have seen their debt reach £380.5 million, but don't expect that to curtail the club's expenditures in the summer transfer window.

According to Corriere dello Sport (via Goal Transfer Talk), United will attempt to sign Paul Pogba, offering Juventus a fee in the neighborhood of £52 million. Pogba, once a product of the club's youth team, made his senior debut in 2011. Lack of playing time, however, saw the 21-year-old escape to Turin in 2012.

Per the report, Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be interested.

The buck doesn't stop there.

According to various sources (via Goal Transfer Talk), Marco Reus also remains a summer target for manager Louis van Gaal. The 25-year-old signed a new contract with Borussia Dortmund on Monday, strengthening his ties with the club until 2019.

"I am very happy with my decision to stay at BVB," said Reus (via the Guardian). "Dortmund is my home town and Borussia simply my club. I am looking forward to a successful future with our team and our fantastic fans supporting us. There is a lot to do and I want to be part of that."

German outlet Kicker reported that Reus turned down an offer from Real Madrid to remain at his hometown club. With the reigning European and world champions unable to lure him, expect the result for Manchester United to be the same.

Especially if van Gaal fails to return them to the Champions League in 2015.
