The Internet was abuzz after rumors of an Instagram post by the WWE depicting a picture of CM Punk and saying he quit UFC and could be on RAW surfaced online, but it was a fake.

WWE Monday Night RAW Preview and Rumors

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, there are reports online that said the WWE's Instagram account posted a photo of Punk, speculating that he could be on Monday Night RAW this week in Orlando.

The rumor going around said that the WWE's official account posted the picture and then quickly deleted it after posting it.

According to the new report, the picture was a fake and was never posted by the WWE as the screenshot picture was actually made by someone in Photoshop.

Punk walked out on the WWE last year after the Royal Rumble due to being frustrated over the way he was used and with how the company wanted him to work hurt repeatedly.

The last straw for Punk came during the Royal Rumble Match last year when he said he suffered a concussion, but the WWE wanted him to work the next night on RAW.

Punk ended up walking out on the company that night and he never returned.

After months of silence, Punk appeared on Colt Cabana's Art of Wrestling podcast in November and blasted the company while revealing his side of the story.

Punk also said that he received his termination papers from the WWE in June on the same day he married current WWE Diva AJ Lee.

Punk then announced in December that he has signed with UFC and he appeared in Las Vegas with Lee alongside him to reveal the news to the world.

"The Best in the World" is now training for the Octagon and is set to make his UFC debut later this year in about six months, though it's still uncertain who his opponent will be.

Though many fans have dreamed that Punk will return to the squared circle, that will not be happening -- especially not tonight on RAW.
