Frank Mir vs Brock Lesnar: UFC Fighter Talks Possible Third Encounter With 'The Beast,' CM Punk Joining MMA and More [VIDEO]

With there being a lot of speculation that WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar may be re-joining UFC when he ends his current run after WrestleMania 31, Frank Mir said he'd like to see "The Beast" back in the Octagon.

Mir and Lesnar have traded decisions in their past two fights, and Mir told ChadDukesWrestling.com that he'd love to face the former UFC Heavyweight Champion one last time to complete their trilogy and see who the better man is.

"I think it's a great opportunity to finish off a trilogy, to go out and in the third fight get the win," Mir told the site. "Absolutely, if it becomes an opportunity where I can actually take it seriously and it's presented to me I'm all for it. If it doesn't and he doesn't come back to our sport I'm not going to lose any sleep over it."

Lesnar has dominated the WWE landscape over the past year, ending The Streak of The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX last year and going on to dominate John Cena at SummerSlam in August to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, which he still holds now.

Lesnar is expected to drop the gold -- likely to Roman Reigns -- at WrestleMania 31 on March 29 at Levi's Stadium in California.

Anything beyond that is a question mark, but there have been rumors that he's interested in returning to the Octagon and UFC president Dana White is open to bringing him back.

Several sources have said it's most likely that Lesnar will end up staying with the WWE rather than risking injuries in UFC, but it remains to be seen what will happen.

One person who isn't returning to WWE is CM Punk as he quit the company over a year ago and signed on with UFC. Mir said a lot of people are "frustrated" with all the attention Punk has received since joining the company.

"I've talked to guys and they get frustrated, 'Why's this guy getting all this attention? I've fought twenty times.' And I've told them, 'Hey, one when people watch our sport we're promoting it, which is a good thing for everybody," Mir said. "I look at guys, you enjoy making a living as a martial artist, it's one of the greatest things. To find something you love that you can get paid for, you've made it in life. So for us to get paid to be marital artists, we can go to the gym and train, hang out, and live this lifestyle, we have to have eyes on us. The sport has to be entertaining, it has to make money. CM Punk brings that. There's gonna be fans watching. If anything instead of being upset, I think I'd be that guy struggling to get that fight with him to be on the opposite side of the cage."

Punk is set to debut in UFC later this year and is currently training for his first fight, likely toward the end of 2015.

While Punk jumped from UFC to WWE, Mir was asked about if he was interested in doing the opposite by going from the Octagon to the squared circle.

"It's something I find extremely entertaining," he said, "that's actually not a bad idea."
