Everybody knows that NASCAR drivers tend to get a bit heated from time to time if they feel like one of their fellow competitors got a little overzealous on the track. It looks like the tempers have already started flaring up in 2015, and we have not even gotten to the first race of the season yet.

According to TMZ, Danica Patrick and Denny Hamlin got into it on Thursday night after a crash because Patrick alleged that Hamlin had spun her out. She lost control of her vehicle as Hamlin trailed her, and she wasted no time in accusing Hamlin of being the cause of the accident.
Patrick was animated during the confrontation, and even tried to fight about it. Patrick got right in Hamlin's face and grabbed him by the chest, all while he was trying to explain that he did not cause the accident on purpose.

Hamlin even pulled out the "we're friends and I have your back" card at one point, trying to say that he is always one of the first drivers to stand up for Patrick, but she was having none of it.
Of course, tempers flare all the time in the sport, but it is certainly noteworthy to see the only female driver mixing it up and trying to throw down after a race. Of course, cooler heads eventually prevailed, but if Danica had really wanted to start a fight, what would Hamlin have done? It's not like he could have hit her back (well, unless he wants to be banned forever). Maybe Patrick has stumbled onto something here.
