WrestleMania 31 Rumors: Backstage Talk On Daniel Bryan's Opponent, Dolph Ziggler Still Pushes For Match [VIDEO]

Now that Daniel Bryan's dreams of headlining another WrestleMania are dashed, the question still remains about who he will face at the "Show of Shows."

WWE Monday Night RAW Results: Bryan and Reigns def. Orton and Rollins

Before the WWE decided to have Bryan take on 2015 Royal Rumble Match winner Roman Reigns at Fastlane this past Sunday in Memphis to determine who would meet WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31, he and Dolph Ziggler were campaigning for a match on Twitter.

The WWE has also thought about having Bryan face Sheamus at WrestleMania 31 on Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., but nothing has been decided yet.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, coming out of Fastlane, it was still undecided whether Bryan would battle Ziggler or Sheamus at the biggest show of 2015.

Bryan lost to Reigns in a great back-and-forth match at Fastlane as the WWE opted to stick to its plans and have Reigns battle "The Beast" in the main event at WrestleMania 31.

Ziggler has taken to Twitter again to comment about a possible match with Bryan:

After Ziggler and Bryan had questionably short stints in the 2015 Royal Rumble Match last month, the two started campaigning for a match with each other at WrestleMania.

"Yo DB, I was pulling for you, brother, but if you really want to steal the show at #Wrestlemania Im here & angrier #RAW," Ziggler wrote at the time."

Bryan responded, "I'm in" and then wrote, "#DBvsDZ let your voices be heard."

The WWE's website then picked up on the story and teased a bout between the two.

"The WWE Universe has already used their influence to reshape one WrestleMania, and the 2010 Champion vs. Champion bout between Bryan and Ziggler is widely accepted as a modern classic," the site wrote.

"A groundswell of fan support could make the rematch a reality, especially since Ziggler has yet to truly have his moment in the sun to steal The Show of Shows (his last four 'Mania bouts have been a Mixed Tag, a 12-Man Tag, a WWE Tag Team Title Match and a spot in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal), a fact that probably doesn't sit well with the passionate fan base that chants "Let's go Ziggler" during every one of his matches. Seeing these two do what they do best would make every Superstar following their match, including Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar, work even harder."

All of this buzz took place right after the Royal Rumble, but was quieted down after Bryan was added to the No. 1 contender's match at Fastlane against Reigns.

There was talk of having Bryan battle the returning Sheamus at WrestleMania instead and Ziggler being placed in some sort of tag team match with Ryback, but the latter is unlikely now that "The Big Guy" announced he is joining the second annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

If Bryan took on Sheamus, it would mark the third WrestleMania they faced-off at as opponents.

Sheamus and Bryan fought to a no-contest in 2011 at WrestleMania XXVII in a Lumberjack Match while the "Celtic Warrior" topped "The Beard" in 2012 at WrestleMania XXVIII in an 18-second long match for the World Heavyweight Championship.

It remains to be seen what the WWE will do with Bryan, but it appears he will either face Sheamus or Ziggler at WrestleMania 31.
