New York Jets Rumors: Patriots Owner Robert Kraft Takes Jab At Gang Green [VIDEO]

The New England Patriots and New York Jets are bitter adversaries on the field in the AFC East, but it was Pats owner Robert Kraft taking a playful jab at his team's rival off the field.

Kraft appeared at a St. Patrick's Day brunch Sunday and due to the celebration of the holiday, which occurs on Tuesday, he joked that he was uncomfortable having to wear green.

"I must tell you, I'm not comfortable wearing green and white because it reminds me of a certain New York football team, Kraft joked in a speech at the event, according to ESPN.

Kraft also discussed New England losing one of its best players as Darrelle Revis signed a five-year, $70 million contract to reunite with the Jets last week after spending 2014 with the Patriots.

"We've been taking a lot of flak about losing one of our best players," Kraft said. "The money was about the same. [Revis] was actually favoring us, coming to us a little cheaper."

Jets owner Woody Johnson received a tampering charge from the NFL during the regular season after talking about how much he would like to bring Revis, who was playing with the Patriots, back to the Jets, but he eventually got his man this offseason.

Kraft and the Patriots may have lost Revis, but they continue to have better on-field fortunes than their rival Jets as New England won the AFC East for the sixth straight season en route to the fourth Super Bowl title in franchise history.

The Jets, meanwhile, finished 4-12 and underwent a regime change following the 2014 campaign in hopes for better fortunes going forward. New York hasn't won a Super Bowl since the third big game in 1969.

Kraft finished his day by pulling out the Lombardi Trophy during his speech at the St. Patrick's Day event.

Gang Green may have won the Revis bidding war, but it's a Super Bowl win they covet the most.
