CM Punk walked out on the WWE in January 2014 and he has literally never looked back.

Punk left the WWE on the night after the Royal Rumble in January of 2014 due to being frustrated over many different things, and he said recently that he no longer watches the product.

"The Best in the World" said that he doesn't really watch wrestling anymore unless his wife and current WWE Diva AJ Lee tells him about something exciting.

"Nope," Punk told Fox Sports when asked if he ever watches wrestling anymore before referencing Lee. "She'll tell me when I should watch something, like something she's excited about it, but she never does."

Punk was frustrated with the WWE's creative use for him and accused company doctor Chris Amann of misdiagnosing him on multiple occasions and downplaying a concussion Punk claimed to receive at the Royal Rumble.

Punk was quiet for months after walking out on the WWE, but he broke his silence in November on his friend Colt Cabana's Art of Wrestling podcast in a compelling and controversial interview.

The former WWE Champion shared his side of the story on why he left the WWE and he didn't mince words when referring to Vince McMahon, Triple H and Dr. Amann.

Amann swiftly responded with a lawsuit against Punk and Cabana for the comments made about him, but it remains to be seen where it will go.

Punk married Lee, who took time off from the WWE last spring to move in with him in Chicago, sometime in June of 2014 and said on the podcast he also received his termination papers from the WWE on their wedding day.

Lee remains with the company and is set to team up with Paige to battle The Bella Twins at WrestleMania 31 on Mar. 29 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.

Punk, meanwhile, has said he will never have a working relationship with the WWE again and he signed with UFC last December. He has been training with Roufusport in Milwaukee for his first fight ever since.

Punk's first foray into the Octagon is expected to come later this year.

The WWE will present its biggest show of the year at WrestleMania 31.

It's safe to assume that Punk won't be watching.
