The first day of the 2015 Arnold Palmer Invitational came to a close on Thursday, with Morgan Hoffmann holding a commanding four-stroke lead over Padraig Harrington.

Morgan Hoffman: "[I feel] appreciative. I think of just being alive, you know, and how you take things for granted and take people for granted and it's just crazy how quick life goes. I'm 25 and feels like I was 5 rollerskating with my sister yesterday, you know."
Brandt Snedeker: "I wanted to put them [Bridgestone J715s] in for Augusta. I wanted to make sure I had tried them before then. They were awesome. Best I hit my irons all year long. I've been stubborn and finally was hitting my irons bad enough after last week. This is the time to do it. Welcome change."
Adam Scott: "The greens are a bit slow out here this week, so my range of conventional is going to be closer. Once it's outside 30 feet, I'll be putting with a conventional style. It's easier to generate some speed off the putter and certainly whatever it might be called. It's much more efficient on faster greens, the claw."
World No. 1 Update
Rory McIlroy is playing at Bay Hill for the first time in his career. The current world No. 1 opened with a 2-under 70 and finished his opening round with 34 putts.
