It looks like Michael Sam better hope his new Dancing With The Stars gig pays off, because the NFL's first openly gay player reportedly put on a dismal performance at the league's veteran's combine.
Michael Sam Says He's Criticized For His Interracial Relationship
TMZ Sports polled numerous anonymous NFL scouts for their opinion of Sam's performance, and the general consensus seemed to be that Sam was "flat out horrible."
Sam's 40 time in particular came under fire, as it was significantly worse than the time he posted at his rookie combine showing.
"My real honest opinion is that...he did not belong out there," said one NFL agent.

"Here was a chance to show his determination and dedication and the GMs didn't see that," added another.
However, a third individual said that there would be other pigskin opportunities for Sam if he wants them. They might just not be via a spot on an NFL roster.
"I think there's a chance he could play in the Canadian Football League," that source said. "He sells tickets. He attracts fans. And from there you never know."
Maybe Sam's fortunes will rebound later. After all, it's a long way from now until September.
