Free-agent forward Andre Iguodala has reached an agreement on a four-year, $48 million contract with the Golden State Warriors, according to Yahoo! Sports.

Iguodala thus bolts Denver, where he averaged 13 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.4 assists, after just one season. The deal was consummated after the Warriors cleared more than $20 million in salary-cap room by trading the expiring contracts of Richard Jefferson and Andris Biedrins to the Utah Jazz.

The Warriors are also said to be on the short list in the Dwight Howard sweepstakes after coach Mark Jackson reportedly greatly impressed the All-Star, free-agent center with his fiery pep talk. ESPN also reported Howard seems intrigued by the prospect of playing with the sharpshooting trio of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Harrison Barnes.

Golden State GM Bob Myers and Igoudala's agent, Rob Pelinka, were previously colleagues at SFX Sports for six years. Along with Arn Tellem, Yahoo! reports the two worked tirelessly in aiding the Warriors in clearing the cap space needed to close the deal.

The 29-year-old Iguodala has easily been one of the most sought-after free agents this off-season. The Sacramento Kings also previously offered him a four-year, $56 million deal.

Jefferson will make $11 million in the 2013-14 season, the last year of his deal. Biedrins, also in the last year of his contract, will make $9 million.
