We’re back with the latest updates on Week 6 of this year’s Dancing With The Stars competition. The field of eight has now been thinned to seven, and it remains anyone's chance to take the competition.
Monday night was the swan song for singer Patti LaBelle. She and her dance partner Artem’s quickstep (set to Martha & the Vandellas’ “Heat Wave”) was not enough to impress the judges, as they gave her just a 29. That was tied for lowest on the night. The fans at home must have agreed with the judges’ decision, because they sent her packing soon thereafter.
The top individual score on the night was Riker Lynch and partner Allison Holker. Their Jason DeRulo-infused samba was a total show-stopper, earning a 37 from the judges.
Since we are a sports website tasked with covering this show, we’d be remiss to not recap the performance of Season 20’s last remaining actual athlete. That’s gymnast Nastia Liukin. She and Derek Hough continue to position themselves as contenders for the championship trophy, pulling off a respectable 34 during a tango to Calvin Harris’ “Summer”
