Real Madrid Transfer News: Eden Hazard to Reject World-Record Transfer; 3 Players Florentino Perez Should Sign Instead

There are three guarantees in life: Death, taxes and Real Madrid setting the world-record transfer fee in the summer after acquiring one of the game's brightest stars. According to the Express, however, that won't be the case in 2015.

Per the report, Chelsea star Eden Hazard has told his friends he is planning to remain with the soon-to-be Premier League champions past the end of the current campaign—this despite praise from Real Madrid Castilla manager Zinedine Zidane.

"There are players I keep an eye on and who I like a lot, like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, of course," Zidane told FIFA.com. "They're fantastic players, but I like Eden Hazard a lot too. I enjoy everything he does on the pitch. I like the way he carries himself, that decisive streak in him and the fact that he's improving every year."

"He can still get better too," he added. "And I think he's a big reason why Chelsea are on top of the table."

Another man's loss is another man's gain. With Hazard showing no interest in Madrid, these are the players Florentino Perez should consider in the summer transfer window.

Raheem Sterling

Sterling is still amid contract discussions with his parent club Liverpool, but all signs point to a departure. The 20-year-old is yet to sign an extension and is demanding wages the Reds simply cannot cover.

Marco Reus

Injuries have plagued Reus' campaign, but with Jurgen Klopp stepping down as manager, the opportunity is there for Madrid to snag one of the club's brightest stars.

Alvaro Morata

Morata is enjoying great success at Juventus, enough for Madrid to activate the buy-back clause included in his three-year, €20 million deal.
