Real Madrid Transfer News: David De Gea Spotted on Flight to Madrid, Iker Casillas Certain to Leave

Every tidbit involving David De Gea and the Spanish capital is news these days, even when it shouldn't be.

According to the Daily Express (via Goal Transfer Talk), the Manchester United goalkeeper was spotted on a flight to Madrid after Louis van Gaal gave his players a holiday following Saturday's 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace. Naturally, that becomes a headline when you're heavily linked with a transfer to Real Madrid.

Per the report, United believes De Gea's future will not be determined by money. Spain's future No. 1 is keen on the idea of replacing Iker Casillas between the posts.

Casillas' latest rift with the Bernabeu faithful did little to dispel the rumor.

Amidst a 2-2 draw with Valencia on Saturday, Cadena COPE in Spain captured an image of the goalkeeper turning to the terraces and saying (via Marca), "That's enough, for [expletive] sake."

For former Madrid goalkeeper Agustin Rodriguez, enough evidence is there for the 33-year-old to depart at season's end.

"I am certain that Casillas and Cristiano Ronaldo are going to leave at the end of the season," Rodriguez said (via Marca). "We'll see as much in the news that comes out in Wednesday's papers."

Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti says otherwise.

"Casillas? He's repeated many times that he wants to stay here," Ancelotti said (via Express). "He has the confidence of everyone: the Coach, his teammates and the club. It saddens me of course [Casillas being whistled], but I know that Casillas has a lot of experience and is prepared."

"These kind of things only motivate him more."

Real Madrid return to the pitch on Wednesday in the second leg of the Champions League semifinal against Juventus.
