Despite some offseason retooling, the Denver Broncos now look like the clear favorites to earn the AFC's top playoff seed, which would give Peyton Manning and Co. home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
The last time the Broncos were the #1 seed, they made the Super Bowl, where they were shellacked by the Seattle Seahawks. The beat the Patriots in the playoffs that year, and there is no reason to think that they could not make a return trip to the big game with a similar setup, even if it means another showdown with New England.
Peyton Manning Not Done After 2015?
For Manning, Brady's suspension has to be a bit of a dream come true. He is desperately chasing another Super Bowl ring to cement his legacy, and another title would strengthen his claim to being the best quarterback of all time.
2015 may not end up being Manning's final season, but since his chief rival will miss a chunk of the season, it will likely end up being his final real chance at a title.
