Vince McMahon isn't tired of hearing the WWE Universe's chants for CM Punk.

McMahon spoke to the Chicago Tribune during his Boys & Girls Clubs of America Hall of Fame induction on Wednesday and the WWE chairman and CEO was asked whether he was tired of hearing Chicago fans call for Punk, their departed hometown hero.
"No," McMahon simply said. "No."

McMahon also touched on whether or not Chicago was in the running to be a possible host city for WrestleMania again for the first time since WrestleMania 22 in 2006.
"I wouldn't say Chicago is out of the running," McMahon said. "We can do colder environments. We went to [MetLife] Stadium (in New Jersey). People wear coats to football. Why won't they were jackets and so forth to WrestleMania? They will. Chicago will definitely be in the running in the future."
Punk walked out on McMahon and the WWE in January 2014 on the night after the Royal Rumble event. He later explained on Colt Cabana's podcast that he was tired of being "creatively stifled" by the company and also upset with constantly being asked to work hurt.
"The Best in the World" also claimed that he suffered a concussion at the Royal Rumble and that WWE's Dr. Chris Amann misdiagnosed it as well as other ailments along the way.
Amann swiftly responded with a lawsuit, which reportedly is what led to the departure of Punk's wife AJ Lee, who announced her retirement in April.
Lee remained with the WWE after Punk quit and she took two hiatuses to marry him and heal up injuries while the bad blood continued between the former WWE Champion and the company. Lee then finally opted to leave following WrestleMania 31.
Punk said he would never ever return to the WWE while McMahon said he was hopeful the two sides will once again work together someday down the line on "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's podcast and apologized for Punk receiving his termination papers from the company on his wedding day.
Punk joined the UFC in December and has been training out of Roufusport in Milwaukee for his debut, which is slated for late 2015, but hasn't been specified yet.
So while the WWE Universe continues to chant for Punk, at least in his hometown, McMahon doesn't seem to mind -- at least he said that publicly.
