WWE Superstar Rusev made his first public comments since the storyline split between him and his valet Lana.

Rusev spoke to Tom Philips in a WWE.com exclusive after the events that unfolded on Monday Night RAW.
Rusev and Lana had an unceremonious breakup on RAW when the Bulgarian Brute scolded her for quitting for him in his United States Championship match against John Cena at Payback this past Sunday.

Lana then kissed Dolph Ziggler, sparking an instant feud between The Showoff and the Super Athlete.
Philips replayed the footage and got a reaction out of Rusev.
"Why are you showing me this?!" Rusev said. "She misunderstood me when I told her to leave. I didn't say goodbye forever. I didn't have enough time to explain to Lana what I meant. I treated her with nothing but respect and the next thing I know Lana turned her back on me. Because of one man. Dolph Ziggler will get crushed. I am gonna rip off his arm and eat his American heart."
It appears as though Rusev and Ziggler are on a collision course for a feud and both men will be in the Chamber Match for the vacant Intercontinental Championship at Elimination Chamber at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, TX on May 31.
Joining them in the structure will be Sheamus, Neville, Ryback and R-Truth as they all search for the Intercontinental Championship, which was forfeited by Daniel Bryan due to an injury and unknown timetable for his return.
The WWE has been building toward a split between the two since a distraction from Lana falling caused Rusev to drop the U.S. Title to Cena at WrestleMania 31, just one month after the mighty Russian defeated the Cenation leader at Fastlane.
Rusev then blamed Lana for his loss in a Russian Chain Match against Cena at Extreme Rules last month and again after she quit for him at Payback on Sunday in Baltimore.
With Lana and Rusev split, it opens up an interesting door for both characters and it should be compelling to see what the WWE does with them from here.
