Rusev suffered an injury at this week's SmackDown tapings on Tuesday night when he hurt his leg during his match with Ryback and had to be helped to the back by the WWE's trainers.
The bout ended abruptly after the Super Athlete appeared to hurt himself and he was spotted by fans with a cast on his ankle and using crutches following the taping.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, if Rusev can't wrestle in the Chamber Match for the vacant Intercontinental Championship at Elimination Chamber this Sunday night at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, TX, he will be replaced by Bray Wyatt.
Per the report, Rusev attempted to downplay the injury, but the WWE isn't clear on the severity of it and a change to the card could be made.
Rusev was slated to battle Dolph Ziggler, Ryback, R-Truth, Sheamus and King Barrett inside the Elimination Chamber structure for the Intercontinental Championship, which was forfeited by Daniel Bryan due to injury. Bryan's status for a return remains up in the air.
WWE.com revealed that the injury to Rusev was legitimate and said that they will provide updates on the plans for Sunday if the Bulgarian Brute can't go.
Rusev is currently in the middle of a breakup storyline with Lana and was earmarked for a feud with Ziggler after The Showoff and the Ravishing Russian kissed two weeks ago on RAW and became an item, much to the dismay of the mighty Russian.
If Wyatt is added to the bout, he at least has a history with Ryback as the two began a feud last month which led to the Eater of Worlds defeating The Big Guy at Payback earlier this month.
It remains to be seen what will happen this Sunday, but Wyatt could end up in the match while the Rusev-Lana-Ziggler triangle, which was starting to gain steam, could be put to the backburner.
