WWE 'Money in the Bank 2015' Rumors: 5 Best Cash-Ins Ever [PHOTOS, VIDEOS]

Next Sunday night, the opportunity of a lifetime will be granted to one WWE Superstar as the company presents Money in the Bank live from the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

Ranking The 3 Former Shield Members A Year After Split

Seven Superstars have been announced for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match thus far, including Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, Sheamus, Neville, Dolph Ziggler, Kofi Kingston and Kane.

These seven men will vie for a briefcase suspended high above the ring with a contract good for a WWE World Heavyweight Championship shot anytime within the next year.

Projected Money in the Bank 2015 Card

Throughout the years, Money in the Bank has supplanted Survivor Series in many people's minds as one of the Big Four events the WWE puts on along with Royal Rumble, WrestleMania and SummerSlam

This is due to the nature of what's at stake, the storyline relevance it has within the next year and the missteps the WWE has taken with the November Classic recently, with the 2014 edition with Team Authority vs. Team Cena and Sting's debut being an exception.

There have been many memorable cash-in attempts since the concept debuted at WrestleMania 21 in 2005 and here are our top five of all-time:

Rob Van Dam

RVD became the second-ever Mr. Money in the Bank when he won the Ladder Match at WrestleMania 22 in Chicago back in 2006. RVD outlasted Matt Hardy, Shelton Benjamin, Ric Flair, Finlay and Mark Henry to win the honor. RVD's win was also notable because he became the first person to give the WWE Champion prior notice before cashing in and he also stands as the only person to win the gold after notifying his opponent. "The Whole F'n Show" defeated John Cena with some help from Edge in a memorable bout at ECW One Night Stand in June 2006 in front of a jacked up crowd and became the first person to hold the WWE and ECW Championships simultaneously.

Dolph Ziggler

The Showoff was booked to win the briefcase at Money in the Bank 2012 in Arizona, overcoming the weak field of Cody Rhodes, Damien Sandow, Christian, Tyson Kidd, Sin Cara, Tensai and Santino Marella. While the lineup for the Ladder Match was subpar, Ziggler's cash-in was memorable as it took place on the Monday Night RAW after WrestleMania XXIX in New Jersey on April 8, 2012. Ziggler used his contract on Alberto Del Rio and pinned him ater a ZigZag to win the gold in dramatic fashion.

Edge

The original Mr. Money in the Bank was the Rated 'R' Superstar as he defeated Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, Shelton Benjamin, Christian and Kane at WrestleMania 21 in Los Angeles in 2005 in what was the inaugural edition of the concept. Edge held onto the contract for a record 280 days before finally cashing in on John Cena. Shortly after the Cenation leader won an Elimination Chamber bout at New Year's Revolution in Albany in January 2006, the opportunistic Edge struck, defeating a tired Cena for his first ever reign as WWE Champion after hitting two spears.

CM Punk

Punk is the only man to ever win back-to-back Money in the Bank Ladder Matches when he did so at WrestleMania XXIV in Orlando in 2008 and again at WrestleMania XXV in Houston in 2009. Punk's second cash-in came at Extreme Rules 2009 in New Orleans just after Jeff Hardy defeated Edge in a Ladder Match. Punk took advantage of a prone Hardy and pinned him after hitting the Go To Sleep twice to win the World Heavyweight Championship.

Seth Rollins

For years, the WWE Universe wondered who would be the first man to cash in the Money in the Bank briefcase at WrestleMania and year after year the biggest show of the year would pass without it happening. Then finally, Seth Rollins changed the landscape of WrestleMania history. After turning on The Shield and joining The Authority last June, Rollins won the briefcase in a bout against Dolph Ziggler, Kofi Kingston, Jack Swagger, Rob Van Dam and Dean Ambrose at Money in the Bank 2014 in Boston. The Architect then waited 273 days to strike, interrupting the main event between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31 this past March in the Bay Area. Rollins delivered a Curb Stomp to Reigns and pinned him to win Lesnar's WWE World Heavyweight Championship in one of the most shocking and awe-inspiring endings in WrestleMania history. It was arguably the best cash-in attempt in WWE history.

The WWE presents Money in the Bank on June 14 at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus and it will jump start a major storyline for the company, which could lead to another memorable cash-in.
